The Hose House Renovation
The Bottoms Neighborhood near Coors Field, Denver, Colorado
Summit Sealants is proud to have performed the restoration of the Hose House, or The Denver Hose Company No. 1 building.
“The building is the oldest fire house that’s standing in the city. It’s around 130 years old — beautiful brickwork on the front, two arches. We’re going to be restoring the building to its original grandeur.” -Josh Fine
Summit Sealants performed a complete restoration of the building exterior, including the replacement of bricks and mortar which were in terrible disrepair from a previous fire along with aging. Some of the bricks were in such bad shape, they were vacuumed up right out of the wall. The walls of the structure were shored up to prevent them from falling down while the repairs were performed.
